Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: F5-6 Surf / Sea State: Small swell Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Very good afternoon at Shoreham for me. Got there something before 3pm and
people were maxed out blasting with the sun blazing down. Probably 30+
people sailing. Good to see. We settled the kids, popped up the little
tent and I set about a rapid rig of the 5.5m. No sooner done and carried it
back over the top of the beach to be greeted by 30 people wallowing their
way back to the pebbles. Skunked!! It took about 20 mins for the rain
cloud to pass and the clear air to let the wind direction swing back to the
southwest. Everyone waited, some packed up, and I was chuffed to have
wallowed out there just in time for the wind to return...with avengence.
Full power on the 5.5m not too much chop so extreme blasting was in order
plus some cheeky jumps. Add in a nicely cleaning shorebreak ride wrapping
around the groynes and it was a pleasure.
